The brow comparison
Eyebrow Tattooing in Vancouver, WA — Which Brow Service Is Right for You
Four brow services, one honest question: what does your skin hold best, and what do you want your brows to read as — hair, makeup, or both? Here is the whole menu side by side. Every technique is semi-permanent and includes a separate 6–8 week perfecting session.
| Comparison | Microblading | Powder Brows | Nano Brows | Combo Brows |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Technique | Fine hair-like strokes placed one by one with a manual blade. | Machine shading built from thousands of tiny pigment dots — a soft powder-makeup look. Also called ombre brows. | Hair-like strokes drawn with a machine and a single ultra-fine needle. | Hair strokes at the front blended into soft shading through the body and tail. |
| Skin type | Holds crispest on normal-to-dry skin; oilier skin can blur strokes. | Works across most skin types, including oily skin. | Often the better stroke option for oilier or sensitive skin. | Flexible — the shading supports strokes on skin where strokes alone soften. |
| Healing | Darker and sharper at first; strokes soften over the early weeks as skin settles. | More saturated at first; softens considerably into the healed powder look. | Similar arc to microblading — darker first, then softening to crisp healed strokes. | Both textures settle together; the longest appointment, the same healing arc. |
| Longevity | Typically at its best for 1–3 years depending on skin, lifestyle and sun. | Typically 1–3 years; shading tends to fade evenly. | Typically 1–3 years; strokes tend to stay defined longer than blade work. | Typically 1–3 years; strokes soften first, shading carries the shape. |

How to actually choose
Start with skin, not with Instagram. Crisp blade strokes want normal-to-dry skin; oilier skin usually gets a longer-lasting result from single-needle strokes or shading. Then decide what you want people to see: individual hairs, a soft filled look, or hair at the front with density behind it.
And if you are still torn, that is what the paid consultation is for — shape mapping, color matching and a straight recommendation before you commit to a full appointment.
Covering or fixing old brow work
Faded or uneven brow tattooing from years past can often be worked over — soft shading is a common answer — but sometimes old pigment needs to be lifted first. That is a saline removal conversation, and Fawn will tell you honestly which case yours is.
